Dr Michael Beattie

I am a long time resident of Waterloo, having started my life here when we moved to the area and I attended Elmira District Secondary School.  After completing high school I went to University of Waterloo for their pre-optometry course.  After 2 years, I realized that my passion wasn’t with optometry, so I finished my Bachelor of Science degree and then started school at New York Chiropractic College.  After graduating I set up practice in Waterloo in 1998 and have loved every moment of it since.Since graduation, I have completed post graduate (Fellowship of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Assocation – FICPA) work in
pediatrics through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).  This postgraduate work has allowed me to further serve the health needs of my families. I have also published a case study, “Chiropractic Care of a Patient With Medically Diagnosed Chronic Bilateral “Glue Ear” with the ICPA.

After experiencing the confusion of car seats after the birth of our daughter, I took the car seat inspector course from the Infant Toddler and Safety Association and am also a certified Car Seat Inspector.

I am married to Sari (a teacher), and we live in Waterloo.  We are blessed to have an amazing daughter, son and dog.

When I’m not spending time with my family, or at work, you can find me mountain biking (as much as possible). In my spare time, I enjoy designing websites and am the founder of Chirowebs.net, a website company devoted to designing web sites for Chiropractors, and I’m also a board member of Chiro.org

I am fortunate to be able to speak at various schools, and businesses in the Waterloo Region.  Should you need a guest speaker, who can talk on various health topics, please let me know.
